Racing

1. Formula Baskerville (FB) – an entry level class for riders new to racing, or for those who prefer to ride at a slower pace. As of 2021 this class no longer has a 64 second lap time limit (below which competitors would receive time penalties). The class is now divided into two sub-classes:

  • Formula Baskerville Under 500cc
  • Formula Baskerville Over 500cc

2. Open (Superbikes) – this class is open to all motorcycles regardless of age or capacity.

 
3. 600 (Supersport) – 600cc motorcycles from any year of manufacture. The Daytona 675 and Street Triple (675cc) are eligible to race in this class, as well as two cylinder bikes up to 750cc such as the Ducati 749 (748cc).
 
4. Lites Production – two cylinder up to 400cc and four cylinder up to 250cc production motorcycles (conforming to ADR rules). The single cylinder KTM Duke and RC 390 (373cc) machines are also eligible. Can be a two or four stroke. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 (399cc) is permitted, but must be restricted in compliance with 2021 ASBK Technical Regulations, including a reprogrammed ECU certified by Motorcycling Australia.
 
5. Lites GP – Single cylinder 2-stroke or 4-stroke grand prix motorcycles up to 250cc.
 
6. Formula 3 (F3) – Four cylinder four-stroke motorcycles up to 500cc Two cylinder four-stroke motorcycles up to 700cc Single cylinder four-stroke motorcycles up to 800cc Two cylinder two-stroke motorcycles up to 700cc Single cylinder two-stroke motorcycles up to 350cc
 
7. Golden Era – an historic racing class for bikes manufactured prior to the 31st of December, 1997. This class is divided into two sub-classes:
  • Golden Era Under 500cc
  • Golden Era Over 500cc

7. Pre-Modern – any production, GP or prototype motorcycle manufactured between the 1st of January, 1998 and the 31st of December 2005. This class is divided into two sub-classes:

  • Pre-Modern Tas Superbike (Open)
  • Pre-Modern Tas Supersport (600cc)

8. Tassie Juniors – Two-stroke motorcycles up to 85cc, Four-stroke motorcycles up to to 160cc.
